Political Melodrama in New Delhi …!!!

I don’t remember last time when any political event excited me to write something on Politics. Hats off to Mr. Kejriwal for exciting the writer in me and compel me to comment something on ongoing melodrama running full show in power corridor of New Delhi.

Well, hope I am not hurting the sentiments of lakhs and lakhs of people who voted for AAP. I am thankful to Mr. Kejriwal for bringing hope in eyes of aam admi with his hero like martyrdom and I am sorry to say that curtain falls on hope and sentiments of aam admi. In many ways his style of functioning brings similarity to an Anarchist. Though he tried to camouflage this with many populist measures he took in last few months to prove his critics wrong, but his feet were quite shaky since day one. He was at receiving end of many bouncers as opposition invited him first to play the game and attacked to expose his defense.

Don’t misunderstand me when I say the measures taken by him were quite populist because being aam admi I have witnessed many such steps taken by numerous political establishments within country. Many times these populist measures were taken to woo the voters and sometimes to save their government. Without naming any particular State, I just want to bring your attention towards some of the States of this country in which many such measures are being taken by Government on regular basis but still we see very high level of corruption at multiple levels. Aam Admi of such States is aggrieved by multiple Unions formed on name of Aam Admi at every level of society and ultimately it affects the day to day life of aam admi. The growth and the development of these States suffer in the end. Just to prove their point and show they care for sentiments of aam admi, the politicians of these States creates ruckus in day to day functioning of governance, growth of industry and ultimately well being of aam admi. If control over prices is any measure for the development of aam admi, these States would have achieved highest level of development and life of people living in these States would have been far better than people living in other States. On the contrary, people living in these states is suffering from lack of better job prospect, lower wages and poor economical growth of the society.
Debate on ideologies, discussion over burning issues and posting your views on Facebook is one thing and working hard to execute these ideologies & facing challenges at grass root level is another thing. And this I can say with conviction because I face numerous challenges to execute even simple strategy formed for betterment of society at grass root level and execution of such strategies requires tremendous amount of patience. Your ability to withstand pressure is tested at every level and you would rarely get support for bringing even small change in the system. But still we execute strategies, we come with ideas and we face challenges in execution. Sometimes we win sometimes we fail but we never stop. This is simple rule of this game and I think this rule is true for every level of Governance.  Nothing is full proof and while supporting any cause and bringing any change you would not always get support. Still you have to try and try and try.

Sorry, I forgot, the preferred format of Game today is 20-20. Nobody is ready to play test match any more. AAP’s game may be inspired from this format, I suppose. But, true character of a player is seen in a test match, this is also true.

Still, I thank Mr. Kejriwal for showing a new hope to strugglers and new entrants to Indian politics. Though your first endeavour of forming government at New Delhi would be now history but your name would always be remembered in Indian Political History. Your short stint in New Delhi has started discussion on many issues. This would help to bring some changes in functioning of political system in this country.

Thanks Mr. Kejriwal again for entertaining us on the name of Jan Lokpal and telecasting melodrama of your martyrdom for aam admi.
